An Echo Film

Cong Feng

Release year: 2020

Run time: 15 mins

Film type: Experimental Film

The title is an original appropriation of a ready-made film. The title of this past film is a fitting place for an observation of an experience of today. Echoes are the replay of past sounds in the soundstage of today. What we have said may have been said in time past. What we have experienced may have been experienced by someone else long ago. Echoes exist because the spatial structures that create them continue to exist, and the sound source is still vibrating somewhere. Language and experience both have an echo effect.
