Wang Dadong, a 48-year-old sand turner, was sued at the police station by an 80-year-old woman from the same village who accused him of rape. Wang Dadong was arrested with a rapist sign on his chest and taken on a truck to be paraded along a street surrounded by thousands of people until his public trial. Only a few days later, the prosecutor's office acquitted Wang Dadong of rape and he was released. After his release from prison, Wang Dadong was discriminated against by the villagers and his family was split up. He was thrown out of his home and left to live in exile. For the next 21 years, Wang Dadong fought for his case, but to no avail. He was eventually classified as a provocateur and put on the "Red Notice" list for his petitions and appeals for his rights. In the name of the law, the public security villains who arrested him have now retired, been transferred and promoted and have left the region. Wang Dadong, however, is still running on the road of no return with his own old body to air his grievances ...... Wang Dadong said: without reputation, I have nothing.


Director biography

Formerly known as Zhang Shihe, a native of Xi’an, Shaanxi, the first citizen journalist, documentary director, participant and witness of the League and the New Citizen Movement, was called “citizen reporter ” by many media such as Newsweek and Sanlian Life Week "First Practitioner", originally engaged in the Beijing film and television advertising industry, is now a freelancer. He joined the Writers Association in the 1980s and went to the sea to do business. After graduating from elementary school, he displayed his feelings in the form of blogs and DVs, which attracted the attention of many people. He also called himself a "walking blog". The video of the Wangfujing murder in 2003 earned him the title of citizen journalist.
